Karine Ahton

Karine Ahton is a Partner and Head of the UK practice at Biztech Lawyers, where she advises founders, scale-ups, and investors in technology, media, and digital sectors on strategic commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters. With more than 20 years’ experience, Karine has held senior leadership roles at Moonbug Entertainment, Lyca Group, Virgin Racing, Sanrio, and ITV, where she built legal teams and led cross-border M&A, IP, and data protection programs.

Karine’s strength lies in making sense of the legal side of growth, finely tuning her guidance to support fast-growth companies with an eye on the global horizon. Her days are often spent supporting cross-border partnerships, global compliance, and commercial strategy - providing senior-level expertise that equips clients with the knowledge, and protection, required to scale to the next stage.

When she’s not working with clients or serving as a Governor of Lancing College, Karine enjoys art, classical music, and exploring exhibitions with her family, or relaxing at her family’s vineyard in the South of France.
