Karine Ahton

Karine Ahton is a Partner and Head of the UK practice at Biztech Lawyers, where she advises founders, scale-ups, and investors in the technology, media, and digital sectors on strategic commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Karine has held General Counsel and senior leadership roles at Moonbug Entertainment, Lyca Group, Virgin Racing, Sanrio, and ITV, where she built legal teams and led cross-border M&A, IP, and data protection programs.

Karine advises companies navigating growth, change, or international expansion. She works on cross-border partnerships, regulatory matters in the UK and EU, and evolving commercial needs. Alongside this, she has particular expertise in content exploitation and intellectual property, grounded in years of senior in-house experience across media, digital, and consumer-facing sectors.

When she’s not working with clients or serving as a Governor of Lancing College, Karine enjoys art, classical music, and visiting exhibitions with her family.
