Li is a seasoned commercial and corporate lawyer with deep experience supporting growing and scaling companies. Having worked in-house as General Counsel at Fareportal and Deputy General Counsel at Amplify Education, as well as at leading firm Morrison & Foerster, she understands the legal and business pressures companies face as they expand.
Her practice spans corporate structuring, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and IP strategy, always grounded in pragmatic, business-focused advice.
As a fractional general counsel, Li supports founders and executive teams on everything from equity financing and M&A planning to employment policies and vendor agreements. She is valued as a strategic thinker, trusted advisor, and problem-solver by her clients across the U.S., and is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey.
Based in NYC, Li lives with her two kids and her expat Brit husband in the “sixth borough,” Jersey City. When she’s not practicing law, she spends her free time serving on boards such as London’s Roehampton Law School, trying to recreate her mom’s Filipino cooking, binging crime procedurals, and walking her Wheaten terrier, Oona.
"What first drew me to the law was the idea that contracts aren’t just legal documents—they’re frameworks for collaboration. They reflect two parties’ shared goals, mutual commitments, and accountability to one another. Even as technology reshapes our world and the legal profession, the core need for clarity, connection, and cooperation through thoughtful agreements stays the same.”
